Why does someone look younger at the same age? Skin aging is largely divided into two types: endogenous and exogenous aging.

 * Endogenous aging: It's a phenomenon that happens naturally in our body over time. As the cells divide by genetic factors, the **Telomere** at the end of the chromosome becomes shorter and shorter, eventually the cells age or die.

 * Exogenous aging: It is the aging process that is accelerated by external environmental factors. The biggest cause of these is the ultraviolet rays. When the ultraviolet rays come into contact with the skin, they explosively produce free radicals** that damage cells. This is called oxidative stress, which destroys collagen and elastin, which are responsible for the elasticity of the skin, making wrinkles, and promoting melanin production, causing blemishes. In addition, excessive sugar intake can make the skin protein firm, resulting in a glycation phenomenon that reduces the elasticity. 



2. Scientific Solutions, Smart Management to Slow Aging


Now that you know the cause of aging, it's time to come up with a solution against it.

 * Antioxidant Prevents Oxidation Stress: Using antioxidants is the most effective way to fight off free oxygen attacks. Vitamin C, vitamin E, coenzyme Q10, and resveratrol are some of the typical antioxidants. Applying cosmetics containing these ingredients or eating related foods can neutralize active oxygen in the skin to prevent aging.

 * Retinol and Peptides Promote Skin Regeneration: **Retinol** is a vitamin A derivative, which is an excellent ingredient that normalizes the turnover cycle of skin cells and promotes collagen synthesis. It has excellent effects on wrinkle improvement, and when used consistently, it helps improve skin texture and elasticity. In addition, peptides are small pieces of protein that help collagen production in the skin, and when used in combination with retinol, they create stronger synergy.

 * Making a Moisture Shield With Hyaluronic Acid Hyaluronic acid: As the skin ages, it reduces its moisture retention, which can be the solution. Hyaluronic acid, which has the property of attracting more than 1,000 times its own weight, provides the skin with enough moisture to prevent wrinkles caused by drying and strengthens the skin barrier.

The most important thing in preventing skin aging is not expensive procedures or fancy products. It's a habit I practice consistently every day. The habit of applying sunscreen every day to block UV rays, the biggest cause of aging, and applying moisturizer meticulously to protect moisture and nutrients in the skin is the strongest anti-aging agent.

Skin aging is an unstoppable natural occurrence, but there are certainly ways to slow it down and grow healthy. If you use the power of science to take care of your skin wisely and maintain a healthy lifestyle, you will face a much younger and healthier appearance in the mirror.
